On this workshop you will create a unique felt and stitch flower meadow picture based on Lynn’s 'Jewel Garden' design.

As the work will be wet, we will use sample pieces of felt to practice any unfamiliar stitches and discuss ways you can embellish your work.

Needle felt a Kingfisher to create your own framed picture.
Join me to enjoy learning how to draw with wool and create a Kingfisher bird. This is a popular, colourful, albeit elusive bird, but should be achievable within the time. You will be working with a barbed needle, so some care is required, not suitable for young children, and an element of dexterity helps.
I will demonstrate the needle felting techniques required, along with how to blend the merino wool fibres to create the colour palette needed.
What’s included:
I will provide the needles, felting mat, base fabric, selection of coloured wool fibres, a reference photograph along with a template to act as a guide.
I’m confident you can complete your kingfisher bird, but will also bring along a selection of my eco-botanical printed silk fabrics, a further base fabric plus additional threads/yarns/scraps/fabrics to add a tree branch or stump in order that you can complete your own composition ready to frame. If you would like to also purchase a similar box frame that I feel works well with my work I can have a supply available.
All you need to bring along is a pair of scissors and lots of enthusiasm.
Suitable for:
Adults. This workshop is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to those with experience.
